So, it’s a New Year and New Year means a FRESH START!!! Every New Year is a fresh chapter for us. It’s entirely up to us what exactly we want to write!! Isn’t it? So what will you write on the very first day of your new blank book? Let’s start this chapter by setting some New Year’s resolutions and stick to them. Here is a list of 13 goals that will help you look and feel great in 2018:
1. ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS
All of us have dreams in our lives that we want to achieve! Don’t we? Dreams will be always dreams if we don’t work on it. Do you complain yourself that you simply don’t have time to work on your dreams? Stop! Don’t complain and work on it. Take out time for your dreams whatever your dream is, big or small. Analyse your daily schedule, do proper time management. Dream it. REMEMBER, Everything begins in the heart and mind. So plan it and work on it.
2. START MEDITATION AND FEED YOUR MIND & SOUL
If I say, spending few minutes on Meditation can improve you MIND and BODY! Yes! There are many scientific studies that show the various benefits of meditating on your health. Meditating helps to improve your immune system, self-control, and mood. It reduces stress and improves the ability to concentrate. It lessens anxiety too. You have all the reason. Go and begin this year with Meditation.
3. QUIT SMOKING
By now, you probably know that smoking can kill you. Decide today and quit smoking. Concentrate on other good things in your life. Understand that smoking will not reduce your stress rather it will cause loads of wrinkles and serious health issues in future. So, take serious steps to quit, once and for all. Will you?
4. DO YOGA
Are you too lazy to go to the gym? Well, forget the gym if you don’t want to! Yes. There is no hard and fast rule that says going to gym is the only way to get in shape. Rather do yoga at home. Go for cycling.
5. QUIT JUNKIES
You know how junk food can harm you. Avoid junk food rather prefer cooking food at home which is no doubt is absolutely healthier. Moreover, you can control the ingredients and choose items that target your specific health goals this year.
6. SLEEP MORE
Sleep at least 8 to 9 hours. Less sleep can affect your skin, mood, weight and overall health, so make sure that 2018 is the year you start getting the recommended hours every night.
7. CUT DOWN ON DRINKING ALCOHOL
Cutting down on alcohol can improve your mental and physical wellbeing. Not only it helps you to maintain a healthy weight (that belly fat though) but cutting down on how much your drink can contribute to improving your appearance.
8. LOSE THAT STUBBORN FAT
Whether you are carrying just a few kilos extra, extra weight will cause extra diseases! So drink plenty of water, hit the gym! Get all tempting foods out of your home 😉 and keep yourself busy so that you don’t eat just because you’re bored. Eat timely, never skip meals. Try eating smaller healthy meals throughout the day.
9. PLAN A VACATION
There are end numbers of places to explore! Take a break and plan a vacation. Trust me, you will feel more refreshed. Moreover, It’s a great way to distress yourself too. So, do shopping, explore new places, breath deep!! What’s your plan for this year?
10. GET RID OF MESS AROUND YOU
Are you stressing yourself with all the mess you have at home? Being surrounded by mess can really swing your mood. Surround yourself with things that give you positivity!! Get new furniture, Floor lamp or anything you like. So clear out all the junks from home this year and distress yourself.
11. PLAN YOUR FINANCES
Imagine you have thought to buy something you’ve planned for and you are running out of money? Finance difficulties are actually very stressful! Isn’t it? So this year, set your priorities and spend accordingly. Those ways you can control your finance.
12. INCREASE YOUR CALCIUM INTAKE
Are you getting enough calcium? Your bones need calcium to stay strong and healthy. Not getting enough calcium in your diet can lead to fragile, hard bones that are more prone to fractures and joint pains. As you get older, your bones start losing bone mass or density, especially women. So boost your calcium intake by drinking one more glass milk. Eat more green leafy veggies, yogurt, cheese etc.
13. GET YOUR HEALTH CHECKUP DONE ASAP
This one is very important for all of us. Regular health checkups can help find problems before they start. Isn’t it? No matter your age is, there are some important tests that are essential in a particular age group and time. The earlier, the better! Examples include a breast and pelvic exam are such tests. So Plan your date to Schedule your health check-up as soon as possible.
