My Experience with SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick 10 New Shades:

Packaging: These Lipsticks come is their regular packaging with a matte outer carton and their usual graphics. All the vital details are mentioned on it. Coming to the lipstick tube, it comes in a rectangular and absolutely transparent tube with a matte black cap. The black cap has the “Sugar” logo on it and the shade name, the number is also mentioned at the bottom of the tube. It’s quite sturdy which makes it quite travel-friendly. When you see the tube, you will notice a shape of a lipstick bullet at the end of the transparent tube which looks quite cute.

The Applicator: There is a sponge applicator attached to the cap. The length of the applicator stick is so impeccable for a better grip. It works well to apply the product to the lips, especially on the corners of your lips. The wand is bit small but gives you more control and perfect application. As per my experience, you may have to slope 2 to 3 times to cover the entire lips.

All the shades in the new addition are extremely beautiful and can be worn throughout the year. This addition has almost all the shades such as reds, pinks, browns & purples! Formula, texture & Pigmentation

This range has a watery consistency except, 27 Brown Crown which has a medium consistency. Each shade glides on smoothly without tugging and dries down quickly in less than a minute to an ultra-matte lipstick. Once it dries it doesn’t budge for anything like literally “ANYTHING”! Try to get an even application in one go, rather than trying to layer it up again and again else it may leave your lips looking cluttered. Each shade is extremely pigmented and gives an intense colour payoff with full coverage. These don’t look patchy except one shade I.e. Vivid Orchid which looked slightly patchy. Coming to its fragrance, It has a mild vanilla fragrance.

Since it’s an ultra-matte lipstick, it has a tendency to dry out your lips thus you must moisturise your lips with a lip balm. Allow it to sink in for a while and just remove the extra balm with a tissue before you apply the lipstick. Also, make sure your lips are exfoliated properly else it may accentuate the flakiness and dryness.

Staying power: Once its set It doesn’t budge, smudge, transfer or fade. It stays put on my lips for 9-10 hours easily. It only starts to wear off slightly in the center of the lips if you eat something oily which is quite obvious. Besides that, no feathering, fading or smudging at all! The pigmentation was still excellent after 10 freaking hours! Also, I would suggest not to retouch rather go for a fresh application as the lipstick may flake if you layer it up with a fresh coat. Since it’s a smudge-proof and transfer-proof formula thus removing it is not possible without an oil-based cleanser. Coconut oil/baby oil is a great way to remove it completely.

Trust me, these are the most pigmented liquid lipsticks I have used so far. If you are looking for an ultra-matte, super long-wearing, highly pigmented lipsticks then you are definitely going to love them. Moreover, these come at such an affordable price tag of INR 499 which is worth every single bit of penny!
