I love highlighters! The highlighter is a product that can completely transform your look. Not only it gives you amazing glowing look but it also helps you look younger and fresher! I had been planning to buy universally loved Bobby Brown’s shimmer bricks but those are very expensive hence never got my hands on them. But, as soon as I saw Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant on Nykaa, I was like damn! These two look absolutely similar!! I could not resist myself to buy this product. So, let’s get into the review, super fast .. . . :) <3

Product Details:

Combining the warmth from a bronzer with highlighters to give gorgeous definition to all skin tones. Either use each shade from the shimmer brick on its own, or swirl your brush round to pick up all the colours.

My Experience Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant:

Packaging:

The Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant comes in a black colored square plastic pan with a transparent lid, which allows you to see the product really well. Trust me the highlighters look divine in the palette! There are 5 beautiful shimmery highlighter strips inside. There is a brand logo on the transparent lid in Gold color. The packaging is simple, yet beautiful! The palette is quite compact and sturdy yet the product inside might break if not handled carefully. I accidently dropped it once and the darkest shade cracked a little bit inside however the container/plastic pan was still intact. Nevertheless, the container closes tightly which makes it travel-friendly. Moreover, it’s a small and light weighted palette so it’s easy to simply toss it in your bag or in your makeup pouch.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick is available in the following variants:

1. Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant (The lighter one)
2. Vivid Shimmer Brick Rose Gold(The darker one)

Shade:

Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant palette has amazing colors which make it perfect to use the individual colors as highlighters.  You can also use them on your lids as these work amazingly well as eyeshadows. There are 5 super stunning strips of highlighters in the pan, from lightest to darkest.

Brick 1 is a soft yellow gold– this is a pale yellow gold color which is the best shade for highlighting.

Brick 2 is a soft rose gold color with a peach-pink undertone, another great shade for highlighting.

Brick 3 is a shimmery copper brown which is a great option as a bronzer for a sun-kissed look.

Brick 4 is pale pink with peach undertone or can say it has a nude undertone which gives a healthy glow to your skin.

Brick 5 is a deep copper brown, which is similar to the middle one but this one deeper, darker brown. Since this shade a darker thus this will work as a great bronze blush for me in the summer. Such a pretty and perfect shade for a sun-kissed look.

This is how it looks on me when I blend all the shades together to highlight my cheekbones. Below pictures have been taken in natural light.

These shimmer bricks are easy to blend and are subtle enough to wear during the day as well as at night. Definitely, it will make you look more glowy in the evening/night, just like a Goddess! No matter if your complexion is on the lighter side or darker or medium, these are going to suit every skin tone just like magic.

Texture & Pigmentation:

The texture of these bricks is smooth and creamy which blends effortlessly on skin. These applies very smoothly and gives a magnificent glow. Even if you use then as eyeshadows, still applies easily. Each color in this brick is amazingly pigmented and offers a lot of color in just one swipe. Since this product has lots of shimmers and a little of it goes a long thus apply it with a very light hand as you can easily go overboard with it.

Staying power:

Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant has a great staying power. These last on the skin minimum 6 hours with or without foundation and stick to your skin like magic. After that, you can still notice a nice sheen behind. Moreover, if you use them as eyeshadow still their lasting power is decent on the lids.

MAB Recommendation:

Overall, Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant is one of the best highlighters I have tried after my super favourite MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish highlighter. Super pigmented, easily blendable, the Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant is not only a cheaper option in but in comparison to the other high-end highlighter palettes but it gives you the glow out of this world with its very first swipe! Use the individual shade or just swirl your brush round to pick up all the colours, the effects are absolutely amazing. The best part is that it gives gorgeous definition to all skin tones. As an eye shadow, highlighter or bronzer, Nothing can beat this multipurpose product and for INR 600? YESSS PLEASEEE!

I will highly, HIGHLY recommend trying these out, you won’t be disappointed!
