My Experience with 6 New Metallic shades of SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks

Packaging

The Lipstick comes is a beautiful matte finished outer carton with their usual graphics. All the vital details are mentioned in it. Coming to the lipstick tube, it comes in a rectangular and absolutely transparent tube with a matte black cap. The black cap has the “Sugar” logo on it and the shade name, the number is also mentioned at the bottom of the tube. It’s quite sturdy which makes it quite travel-friendly. When you see the tube, you will notice a shape of a lipstick bullet at the end of the transparent tube which is quite impressive! Simple yet elegant!

The Applicator

There is a sponge applicator attached to the cap. The length of the applicator stick is so impeccable for a better grip. It works well to apply the product to the lips, especially on the corners of your lips. The wand is bit small but gives you more control and perfect application.

Shades:

All the metallic shades are extremely beautiful! These are not very bright and shiny but subdued metallics thus you can pull them off easily from day to night! The best part is that all the shades are flattering on all the skin tones.

31 CARMINE SHINE

It is my most favourite shade from their metallic range! A very gorgeous metallic bright red!

32 BRASS CLASS

It’s a stunning deep bronze brown shade.

33 AMETHYST TWIST

Ah! That’s my second favourite from the metallic range! An extremely gorgeous metallic plum shade which looks almost black on the lips! I absolutely love this one.

34 MERLOT GLOW

This one is metallic burgundy shade which looks very gorgeous in person. Love it!

35 RADIANT CURRANT

I love how lustrous and sexy it looks on the lips! It’s a metallic burnt blackened red! My another favourite.

36 PINK CLINK

This one is a very settled rose gold shade.

Formula, texture & Pigmentation:

Since these are ultra matte lipstick hence the formula is drying. It glides on smoothly without tugging and dries down quickly into an ultra-matte lipstick. What I love more about these metallic lipsticks is that though, the finish is super rich with a metallic finish yet it looks very soft and settled on the lips. Each shade is extremely pigmented and gives an absolutely intense colour payoff with full coverage. Once it dries it doesn’t budge. Make sure that your lips are properly exfoliated before you apply this lipstick.

Longevity:

The lasting of metallic lipsticks are more than their existing non-metallic range i.e. it stays put on my lips for 12 hours easily. This is wonderful. It doesn’t budge, smudge, transfer or fade but only starts to wear off slightly in the center of the lips if you eat something oily which is quite obvious. Besides that, no feathering, fading or smudging at all! It’s a 100% smudge proof and transfer proof formula thus you need to use an oil-based cleanser to remove them completely.

These are not those lipsticks that you need a full face to pull off, but you can wear it even when you are not wearing any makeup at all. Trust me, these really make whatever you are wearing POP!
