NYX cosmetics is a makeup brand that’s been a staple for anyone obsessed with beauty. When it comes to the most versatile professional makeup & beauty products, you simply can’t ignore this brand! All its products are so innovative but still the company has kept its prices low. Before Nykaa, the NYX cosmetics were only available in Sephora stores in India. Though, some of NYX products are available on several shopping sites as well but then the authenticity of these products is an issue.

Earlier, I have used NYX, PUMP IT UP LIP PLUMPER in the shade of Pamela, which I bought from Sephora Store during my Singapore visit. I literally fell in love with it, I just adore how beautifully it used to make my lips fuller. And I got very excited, when I came to know that NYX cosmetics officially coming to India through Nykaa. Sadly, I could not order the NYX products saved in my Nykaa wish list. By the time I could access my Internet, mostly NYX product were out of stock! :/ Somehow I still, managed to buy 2 products from this brand, NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in the shade of Black and NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade of Bloody Mary. :) <3 <3 So, today I am going to talk about NYX Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary.

My Experience with NYX Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary

Packaging:

It comes sealed in a plastic black matte tube and the best part is you can actually see through the middle of them at the color inside. I really love this kind of packaging that actually gives you a better idea of what the lipstick color looks like. The tube contains, lipstick shade name, lipstick shade number, manufacturing details and the list of ingredients printed on it. There is sticker placed at the bottom of the tube wherein the shade name and number are mentioned. The packaging is fairly durable and travel friendly. It feels lightweight but not flimsy at all.

Shade, Texture and Pigmentation:

Bloody Mary is Blue-Toned Cranberry Red which is a beautiful and very bright pinkish-red color. I must say it has a good amount of pink. The color is definitely flattering for all Indian skin tones. I have a medium skin tone(NC-42) and It looks more pink than red on me. But, if you have fair skin with cool undertones then It may look more reddish than pink on you.

It has a very creamy texture which is extremely smooth to apply. This non-drying formula, settles into a creamy matte, which is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t leave any kind of patchiness behind. Coming to the pigmentation, just look at the swatches girls, it is absolutely pigmented and provides rich color in its first swipe. Oh my God it goes C-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y opaque in single swipe!!!!!!!! This color just lasts really well and stays almost 6+ hours on me. The only thing bothers me is that it is somewhat transferable and can bleed a bit but nothing excessive. To avoid this, use it with lip liner.

Overall, It is a beautiful Blue-Toned Cranberry Red which is actually a pinkish red lipstick that complements all Indian skin tones. It is one of the creamiest and pigmented matte lipstick I’ve ever come across. It brightens up the face instantly that you don’t need too much makeup with it. A non-over drying, semi-matte lipstick that feels very comfortable on lips. it has no smell at all so, it will not bother people with sensitive noses! What makes it even more to love is that they come with a nice price tag with such great formulation.
