My Experience with Kerafusion Keratin treatment at VLCC Dwarka Sector-11

Colouring hair is fun, and if done right! Right?

I have been Coloring and highlighting my hair for last 12 years. I got extremely bored with my global hair colour so I went for hair highlights a few days back which left my hair very brittle, dull, frizzy and extremely dry! So my stylist suggested me the Keratin hair treatment, which tames the frizz, helping you get shiny hair!

I finally decided to go for my first-ever keratin treatment done from VLCC Dwarka sector-11 which changed my hair completely.

What is Keratin Treatment?

Keratin is the major protein which is naturally present in our hair. But due to exposure to the sun, pollution or chemicals, the keratin present in the hair gets depleted. This loss is what leads to dry, damaged and dull hair. Keratin treatment is more of a restorative treatment where keratin is artificially added to the hair to make it look smooth, shiny and frizz free. Please note that this treatment doesn’t straighten your hair.

The keratin treatment procedure takes almost 3 hours.

Following are the steps.

• Hair wash (Shampoo but not conditioner). Your stylist starts with a shampoo and lets it sit for approx 10-15 minutes but no conditioner.
• Blow-dry to remove all the moisture.
• Application of Keratin solution.
• Hair is left to set for approx. 45-60 minutes.
• Another round of blow-dry(Without washing hair).
• Followed by a flat-iron to help seal in the solution.

Meanwhile, you feel some strange smell throughout the process but done worry you stylist will provide you with a mask to bear the musty smell(which disappears completely by the final blowout). This flat iron makes hair pin straight and afterwards, you will be advised not to tuck your hair behind your ear, no clips, no pony, no braids, yes you cannot even tie your hair (It was the most difficult part for me).

After 48 hours you need to visit the salon again where the stylist rinses your hair for 5 to 10 minutes to ensure the product is completely out of hair. Repeats the shampoo followed by keratin sealing serum and then blow-dries.

Finally, you are done!

Important:

1. Don’t wash your hair for three or four days after getting the treatment. That’s because the solution takes time to work.
2. After the keratin hair treatment, you need to sodium-sulfate-free shampoo to help maintain the treatment as sulfates tend to strip the treatment from the hair much quicker.
3. Expect the results to last 2 to 2 1/2 months which gradually fades out.

My experiences with Keratine treatment at VLCC sector -11

I went to VLCC Dwarka Sector-11 as it’s was near to my place. Though the centre is not that big but is well maintained. The staff was friendly yet very well trained and professional.

Since, Keratin treatment is basically like a super strong deep conditioning treatment, which is more about manageable, smooth, fuss-free hair. As I said my hair was extremely damaged, brittle, frizzy but after Keratin treatment I am completely in love with my hair again. Honestly, I didn’t mind spending such long hours for this magical treatment as it worth every single minute.

I literally can’t help but touch my hair. My hair feels so smooth, soft and shiny. Their prices are also reasonable as compared to other brands, despite its popularity which also made me love them a little more. My overall experience at VLCC was outstanding. I am very much satisfied with my keratin treatment. This has been a game-changer treatment for me!
